Vessel Safety

Moon Dancer (Our Boat) is fitted with the very latest safety equipment and fully licensed. Our crewmembers are trained and certified to meet the requirements of Marine Safety Regulations, and First Aid.

Departure Points

All tours depart from Awana Porto Malai Jetty unless otherwise stated in our timetable.

Weather Conditions

All tours are subject to weather conditions at the time of touring. In the event of bad weather please telephone our information line on 017 242 7013 for details and revisions of published tour times.

Infants and Children

All boat Cruises: Children under 12 years of age must be accompanied by an adult.

Reservations & Cancellations

Pre-booking is essential for all “Moon Dance” tours.

Reservations will only be confirmed on receipt of 20% Deposit payable to LANGKAWI BOAT TOURS. Mode of payment (Cash or Online Transaction: via VISA / MASTERCARD). Balance payment of 80% should be made after termination of the tour

Langkawi Boat Tours reserves the right to retain 20% (NON REFUNDABLE FEES) of total cost in any adverse weather conditions, i.e. FLOOD, MONSOON, RAIN, and THUNDER STORM, HIGH GAIL FORCE WINDS or NO SHOW.

We will endeavour to re-arrange another date for you to take the tour.

Sightseeing Tours & Lovers Castaway including Larger Groups

Where the customer cancels a reservation, refunds will be given under the following conditions:

If notice of cancellation is given more than 72 hrs before departure 20% IS REFUNDABLE.
If notice of cancellation is given less than 72 hrs before departure: There will be no refund unless your place on a tour date is re sold to another party
Exceptions to the above will be given to guests who are on a short vacation to the island and on proof of departure. 20% of the deposit is (NON REFUNDABLE) as outlined above

No refunds are offered on any boat trips if the passenger(s) is/are NO SHOW

Insurance

Langkawi Boat Tours maintains insurance to cover you from the time you come on board to the time you disembark. Full Names of all guests are required upon making a reservation.

N.B. PLEASE ENSURE ALL NAMES ARE CORRECTLY SPELT FOR INSURANCE PURPOSES

Alterations

Langkawi Boat Tours reserves the right to change tour itineraries due to weather conditions or other such extenuating circumstances.

Prices

Our published prices on the website and in our brochures are valid from 1st March 2009 the new prices are updated accordingly within our online booking system for advance bookings.

Extras

Extra or special dietary meals and any additional transport to other locations other than your initial transfer journey prior to tour. Please advise us of any Food Allergies that you have upon making a reservation and we will arrange for a special meal to meet your dietary requirements.

E.G. Nuts, Dairy, Fruit, Gluten Free, Diabetes

All food served is HALAL and is certified by the relevant religious authorities.

Disability or other medical conditions

If you or any member of your party is unfortunate to suffer from a medical condition or disability, which may affect tour arrangements made, full details of the disability or medical condition must be made to Langkawi Boat Tours (LBT) to enable us to explore how best we can resolve any difficulties. If, in the opinion of LBT a particular tour is not suitable for a person(s) suffering from a disability/medical condition, then LBT reserves the right, for your own welfare and safety, to refuse a booking or change to another suitable tour at its own discretion. In the event of the disability/medical condition not being made known to LBT before/at the time of booking, then we further reserve the right to cancel the booking at any stage and the normal cancellation charges will apply.

While we are very happy to welcome travellers with disabilities on our tours, it would help our decision- making if the person(s) is accompanied by a care giver or suitably qualified medical personnel.

SAFETY OF THE VESSEL, ITS CREW AND ITS PASSENGERS IS TOP PRIORITY FOR LANGKAWI BOAT TOURS (LBT)

LBT reserves the right to refuse access to anyone who is, or appears to be, under the influence of alcohol or drugs, or anyone they consider may cause a public nuisance. The hirer is responsible for the behaviour of their guests at all times and LBT reserves the right to stop and remove from the vessel, and contact the relevant authorities if necessary, any person whom the Crew consider to be behaving in a manner which puts the safety of the vessel, its Crew, or other passengers at risk. Safety Warnings and any instructions given by any member of the Crew must be followed at all times.

LBT reserves the right to change the Terms and Conditions as necessary for the safe operation of their vessels.

Liability

Langkawi Boat Tours (LBT) or its agents shall not be liable for any injury, damage or loss including consequential loss to any person or their possessions, including personal injury, disease or death from any cause whatsoever. LBT shall further not be held responsible for any type of claim, including damages to persons or property, loss of enjoyment, delays and illness as a result of, but not limited to:

Acts, errors or omissions, injury, loss, accidents, delays or irregularities that could be caused by the breakdown or defect of a land vehicle or airline carrier or any other company transporting passengers;
Negligence, fault or omission on the part of a tour service supplier or its personnel, including all persons over which LBT has no direct or immediate authority;
Theft, strike, illness, quarantine, mechanical failure, terrorist attack, war, government or police constraint, weather condition, or any other cause beyond our control, including any modification to the itinerary resulting from these events;
Bankruptcy or suspension of activities of a carrier, or any other tour service provider.

While every precaution is taken on the tour, LBT or its agents does not hold itself responsible for death or any injury or loss, which might occur to such persons from unacceptable behavior. The Client hereby indemnifies and holds LBT and its agents harmless against certain claims in respect of personal injury or damages either direct or consequential arising from certain acts, as a result of the participation by the Client and persons under his authority on the tour.

Brochure Accuracy

Whilst all efforts have been made to produce accurate information in its website and brochures, we accept no liability for any losses resulting from incorrect information. The information in the brochures, circular, leaflets, videos and other advertisements issued by LBT or its agents is given in good faith and unless specifically stated shall not form part of any contract between the Client and LBT. No agent, servant, representative or Client of LBT has any right to alter or vary or waive any of these conditions.

Your use of any services we provide and of this website, signifies your consent to us to collecting and using personal information about you in accordance with the privacy policy as stated below.
